ADB And Tongji University Establish Urban Knowledge Hub

The Asian Development Bank and Shanghai's Tongji University have established an Urban Knowledge Hub in Shanghai to facilitate regional the sustainable development of regional cities.

The Urban Knowledge Hub is a partnership between the East Asia Department of the Asia Development Bank and the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University.

The aim of the hub is to facilitate the exchange of information and experience exchange between mainland China and developing countries in Asia Pacific to help them manage urban development more effectively. The goal is to create the knowledge and capacity to manage urban development according to principles of sustainable development.

The hub will serve as a platform for city planners to share experience and exchange ideas on city planning, expansion and urban renewal, city fiscal strategy, environmental infrastructure, climate change, energy efficiency, and transportation.
