For a week in late September, over 250 volunteers from FedEx China participated in several community initiatives in six Chinese cities.
Projects included refurbishing schools for disabled children, donating clothes and books for poverty-stricken areas, visiting the elderly in nursing homes, taking children from SOS Children's Villages to the zoo, and taking care of animals.
Chen Jialiang, president of FedEx China, said the FedEx Cares Week showed FedEx's spirit of contribution, unity, and cooperation.
FedEx Cares Week was first launched in the US in 2005 and more than 3,000 employees in 45 cities worldwide participated in this year's initiative. It is the first time FedEx China team members took part in the FedEx Cares Week.
