China Will Set Up Eight Oil Reserve Bases In 2009

China will start construction on eight oil reserve bases in 2009.
However, with the exception of Jinzhou, the locations of the oil reserve bases has not been made public, states local Chinese media.
It is understood that China has scheduled three phases of oil reserve base construction with a planned storage capacity of 10 million tons to 12 million tons in the first phase of construction, and 28 million tons in both of the second and third phases of construction.
According to a report on China Central Television, the country has already completed the construction of the first batch of four strategic oil reserve bases and these bases were been put into operation in 2008.
