The Sunshine In Your Heart care center, supported by China Red Cross Merchants Securities Humanity Foundation will be completed in Yingxiu Primary School, Sichuan Province this October. This is the second care center, the first was in Shifang Minzhu Hongda Middle School.
The care center will be furnished with bookshelves and books at first, and experts will be sent there to province psychological assistance to teachers and students in the school for a whole year, including organizing lectures for students, training teachers and parents in children's education and post-disaster psychological crisis intervention, and preparing psychological test equipment for the school.
An official of the foundation stated that it will strengthen cooperation with Sunshine In Your Heart project in the future to build more psychological assistance institutions to help teachers and students in disaster areas adjust back to normal life.
Yingxiu Primary School was founded in 1939, and was seriously damaged in the May 12 earthquake. Only 251 out of a total 472 students survived the disaster.
