At the Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2008 held in the China International Exhibition Center, Toyota Motor (China) donated a Previa Welcab to the China Foundation For Disabled Persons.

Akira Sasaki, senior managing director of Toyota China, expressed his respect for disabled persons for their spirits of self challenge and self improvement. He also expected that the Beijing Paralympics would arouse society's awareness of the disabled and the old.

Toyota has two Welcabs on show at the exposition – a Previa Welcab with a second row of elevating seats, and a Corolla Welcab with a rotating front passenger seat and an electric wheelchair lift in the trunk.

Welcab is a general designation for a series of cars, a combination of Welfare, Well, Welcome and Cabin, indicating that Toyota aims to bring a happy life to its consumers. Toyota began to develop Welcab in the 1960s, with the aim of not only helping people having mobility problems, but also making life easier for caregivers.
