According to Xu Shousheng, the governor of Gansu province, the newly-established GPCPB will be responsible for the coordination, comprehensive planning, policy making, and inspection and guidance for the province's anti-corruption work.

It is understood that the establishment of GPCPB is not only a result of Gansu's anti-corruption initiative, but also a major measure taken by the province in strengthening its anti-corruption efforts, and it will play an important role in the construction of the province's anti-corruption system.
