Checkout For Children In SanyaA live auction was held recently in Dream Land, the associates' dormitory of Sheraton Sanya Resort, as a close to the UNICEF Challenge 2009 event. Many associates bid against each other for their expected item, such as digital cameras, microwaves, folding bicycles, and many other useful houshold articles. A total CNY44,500 was raised, by this and by other auctions, for Starwood's "Check Out for Children" fundraising program to support UNICEF's immunization programs to protect children in the Asia Pacific region against potentially fatal diseases including polio, measles and tuberculosis.
