China's petrochemical industry has released its responsible care annual report in Beijing to show its achievements in carrying out its corporate social responsibilities and in promoting the further development of responsible care.
In addition the report for the whole petrochemical industry, 12 companies including Weng Fu Group have published their own responsible care annual reports and nine companies including China Petroleum and the Chemical Industry Association have held communication workshops.
Responsible care is an industrial self-discipline behavior of the petrochemical industry in many countries. It is a new CSR concept developed in the course of petrochemical industry's caring for employees and society and of building its own image. The concept has existed for more than 20 years and has been widely recognized by the international community. At present, it is carried out in about 53 countries and regions.
This is the first time that a Responsible Care annual report has ever been released in China.
