Chinalco, the parent company of China's largest aluminum producer, Aluminum Corp. of China Limited, has donated CNY4 million to Gansu Province's Zhouqu County, which was hit by mudslides triggered by heavy rains.

The metal giant said in a statement that the company had donated the money via its four units, namely Lanzhou branch, Liancheng branch, Gan Su Hua Lu Aluminium Company, and NorthWest Aluminum Branch.

In recent years, Chinalco has established a strategic cooperation partnership with the Gansu provincial government. The company has urged all the enterprises in the province to support the rescue and relief work.
