Carrefour has donated all the money received through a giving initiative started from June 26 to the China Children And Teenagers Fund. The funds total over CNY6.659 million.

The initiative lasts for a whole month. When a consumer shops in one of Carrefour China's 116 stores, Carrefour will donate CNY0.1 to CCTF on behalf of the consumer and Carrefour will also donate CNY0.1. All the funds that have been raised are donated to CCTF's special fund to help orphans in earthquake-stricken areas for their life, education, and psychological counseling.

Carrefour says it hopes that the initiative would continue to arouse the constant care and aid for the people in quake areas.

Carrefour entered China 13 years ago, and has more than 50,000 employees in China, 99% of which are Chinese.
