Chinese online security service provider Rising has formally launched an initiative called "3-15 Safety Service Month" in cooperation with its partners to provide security services for its users.

Under the program, with is aimed at celebrating World Consumer Rights Day on March 15, Rising will work with over a dozen websites, including Taobao.com, Alipay, Xunlei.com, The9, 9you.com and Giant Network, to combat websites that have been hacked. In addition, they will disseminate online security knowledge to Chinese users and provide them with a free online diagnosis service.

The websites that Rising is working with on the initiative have users covering nearly every sector of China's Internet industry, which makes it possible to clean-up the Internet environment in a short term.

Rising will provide the security service in three ways: by setting up a special website for users to report any dubious websites; by providing an online expert diagnosis service free of charge to help users eliminate malware; and by disseminating knowledge on online transactions, payments, and entertainment.
