The Red Cross Society of China has issued a proposal letter for a program called the Dandelion Initiative which it has launched in the hope of bridging the gap between public concern and those in need.
RCSC says that it hopes to make everyone's love to spread, root, and bloom like the seeds of a dandelion by building a smooth channel for individual donors. For this purpose, it calls on public venues such as hotels, banks, shopping malls, supermarkets, subways, schools and office buildings to offer free locations for its donation boxes. In addition it urges companies, business undertakings, and social groups to offer as much help as possible, and it asks celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, film and television, culture and sports to join the initiative and work as ambassadors for the program.
RCSC says it will spend all the funds raised through this program on disaster relief, aid and care.
