New China Life Insurance Company Henan Branch has launched a green channel to compensate patients of hand-foot-mouth disease.

It is learned that NCLICHB has held a press conference on which it announced that hand-foot-mouth disease falls into the insurance scope of the company's products and it had launched a green channel to compensate patients of the disease.

Yang Jiyong, marketing director of NCLICHB, said that Henan ranked the top in China in terms of number of hand-foot-mouth disease cases as reported by Chinese media, and the company covers the disease a part of its insurance products. Yang said that parents whose child has contracted the disease should go to the special counters arranged by NCLICHB across Henan to consult on issues related to the compensation.

To date, NCLICHB has paid CNY40,400 to a family whose child died of the disease.

As a large insurance company, New China Life Insurance states that it has made "seeking any possible excuses to compensate clients" its core business concept.
