"Let Nature Take Its Course", a nature protection program jointly initiated by Mercedes-Benz and the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization, has given its latest donation for the protection of Luhan Mountain in Jiangxi province.
To date, Mercedes-Benz has donated a total of CNY13 million for the protection of world heritage items in China.
Klaus Maier, the president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz (China), said that following its efforts in conjunction with its Chinese dealers to protect such natural heritage items as the endangered animals and the karst landscape, Mercedes-Benz is now bringing the program to Lushan, a place that is well known for its rich human essence, to further maintain a harmonious balance between man, automotive development and nature.
It is learned that the donation will be used for studying cultural spots, waste water treatment, and repair and research on ancient buildings.
