Substandard Children's Underwear Found In Hebei

About 30% of underwear products for children were found to be substandard in a spot check conducted by Hebei Provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau.

The spot check was carried out by the bureau between July and November 2009. The problems with the underclothes were mainly fiber content and pH value.

So far the bureau has exposed companies that made the substandard undergarments and these companies are: Shijiazhuang Zhaoxian County Yuanda Apparel Company, Shijiazhuang Nahe Clothes Factory, Shijiazhuang Qiankai Clothes Company, Hebei Ripeng Clothes Company, Hebei Xubao Clothes Company, and Zhaoxian Shengda Textile Factory.
