SME Wind Power Alliance Unveiled In Beijing

A China Medium and Small Wind Power Industry Promotion Alliance, which is reported to be the first of its kind in China, has been established in Beijing.

Jointly initiated by the Wind Machinery Sub-association of the China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers and International Cooper Association together with nine well-known medium and small size wind power companies in China, the alliance aims to realize cooperation, win-win, innovation, and development among these wind power enterprises; thus creating a famous brand for China's medium and small size wind power companies and upgrading the reputation and international competitiveness of this Chinese brand.

The core mission of the Alliance is to promote the technological progress and industrialization of small and medium sized wind power generation enterprises; set up a resource sharing mechanism; build up a platform for communication and talent training; promote the establishment of standards, evaluation and quality testing systems; and the development of member companies as well as the development of the industry.

At present, the wind power capacity in China is about 253 gigawatts. In addition, there is several mega-watts of wind power generation capacity in the country. Therefore, wind power is seen as one of the best options for renewable energy in China.
