Youku.com Launches Campaign For Online Copyright Protection

Online video service provider Youku.com has launched a campaign in Beijing to protect its online copyright.

As part of the campaign, Youku.com told local media that it will file lawsuits against those parties that have long been violating its copyright.

Zhu Xiangyang, the chief editor of Youku.com, said that Youku.com has been advocating the regularization and legalization of online activities and promoting cooperation within the industry. Zhu stated that the company's ultimate goal is to make the online video industry grow bigger and stronger to realize common development for all.

Youku.com is said to be the first website in China that has owned the two certificates of the online video and audio transmission certification and a license to making radio and television programs.
