According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China, from April 13, 2010, Porsche, (China) Motors has started recalling 640 imported Panamera sedans due to a potential safety belt defect.

The recall involves vehicles which were produced before February 25, 2010.

AQSIQ said that a design defect of the safety belts might result in the failure of their anchor points, which in extreme cases, could threaten the safety of the occupants.
