Guangzhou Company Donates CNY30 Million For Poverty Alleviation In China

The Chinese property developer Heung Kong has announced that it has donated CNY30 million to the charitable organization Guangdong Foundation for Poverty Alleviation.

Guangzhou-headquartered Heung Kong is reported to be the first private company in China to launch a private national foundation, which is known as the Heung Kong Charitable Foundation, or the Heung Kong Social Assistance Foundation.

Since the establishment of this charitable foundation the company has donated a total of CNY800 million.

Founded in 1990, Heung Kong's business covers the distribution of home furnishings, real estate development, and investment in metals and energy resources.
