On Monday 19 July, 2010, a strike is reported to have broken out and shut down Atsumitec Company's factory in southern China's Guangdong Province.

Atsumitec is a parts supplier to Japanese auto maker Honda Motor Company.

Honda said that the fresh strike, which involves 90% of the 200 employees, will not affect its production in China as it has enough stock of auto parts at its assembly plants.

Workers at the Foshan-based factory are striking for higher wages and are currently in talks with the company.

Other details are not available at this stage.
