Chint Group To Invest CNY22 Billion In Gansu Solar Power Projects

The Chinese power equipment maker, Chint Group Corporation, recently signed an agreement with Gansu provincial government to invest CNY22 billion to build two solar power projects in the northwestern province.

Under the agreement, a solar power plant with capacity of 1 gigawatt and a solar module manufacturing line with an initial manufacturing capacity of 200 megawatt will be established in Lanzhou, the province's capital city.

According to the provincial government, the cooperation with Chint Group marks the beginning of solar power equipment manufacturing sector in Gansu.

Zhejiang-based Chit Group is one of the largest private companies in China. Currently, it ranks the as nations largest low-voltage electrical products manufacturer in terms of production and annual sales.
