China's NipponPaint has announced that it has teamed up with BASF Corporation and Dupont to launch a corporate social responsibility initiative in China, in a bid to maintain environmental and ecological balance.

The initiative, with a CSR logo called "EColor", has three missions, focussing on nature, the economy and responsibility, and developing green paint.

In addition, NipponPaint has launched the country's first "green bank" to integrate the company's five major CSR programs.

The Chinese paint producer said it aims to reduce pollution and energy costs during production so that it will be able to practise its CSR policies in a sustainable manner.
