Ronald McDonald House Charities Donates Ten Ambulances To Sichuan

Ronald McDonald House Charities has announced that it has donated ten wholly-equipped ambulances worth CNY1.3 million to maternity and child health-care hospitals in Sichuan.

This is reported to be a part of the long-term assistance project for earthquake affected area which Ronald McDonald House Charities China jointly founded with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation. The ten ambulances will go to ten separate maternity and child health-care hospitals in Wenchuan, Beichuan, and other counties.

According to the Sichuan Provincial Health Department, the province is now in urgent need of ambulances for most of their vehicles were damaged in the earthquake and those on loan from outside of Sichuan have been returned.

In addition to the ten ambulances, McDonald's China and RMHC China have donated CNY13.5 million for school reconstruction work.
