It is learned from the Disease Prevention Department of Beijing Municipal Health Bureau that 489 outpatient departments in the city are already ready for providing the vaccination service and from September 10 to October 31, these departments will work all day long to give flu vaccine inoculations to those who have a need. The DPD stressed that these departments must provide a high quality and convenient vaccination service for the people, especially those from the senior centers and those who are disabled.

The free vaccine is free only to seniors with a Beijing permanent residence or Beijing Hukou, however it is available to all students irrespective of their hukou.

Up until now, Beijing has reported a total of 883 H1N1 cases, of which 790 patients are reported to have recovered.
