Ford Joins Hands With Chongqing University

Ford Motor and Chongqing University have formed a strategic alliance for further cooperation in scientific research, technology development, and personnel training.

The two parties have signed a long-term cooperation agreement which makes Chongqing University the first college in western China to establish a long-term strategic alliance with Ford. One hundred years of experience in automotive development and production on the part of Ford, together with the university's scientific research advantages, are expected to accelerate technology development and personnel training, to the ultimatel benefit of the development of the automotive industry.

Robert Graziano, president and CEO of Ford Motor (China), said that the strategic cooperation with Chinese colleges is not only the foundation for Ford's long-term development in China, but also part of the corporate social responsibility of the company.

Chongqing is one of the most important production bases of Ford in China, with its joint venture, the Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Company, located there.
