New Energy Automobile Alliance Set Up In Chongqing

Chongqing Energy Saving and New Energy Automobile Alliance, which local media reports is the second of its kind in China, has been formally unveiled in Chongqing.

Headed by Chana, a leading Chinese automobile maker, the alliance takes advantage of new energy resources in Chongqing and aims to become the largest new energy alliance in the middle and west China with the most complete industry chains and comprehensive functions.

To date, about 30 auto makers, auto component manufacturers and research institutions, have joined the alliance. Chongqing municipal government has also offered much support, including CNY1 billion in funds and affiliated facilities to the alliance which claims to create opportunities for its members and is working to increase Chongqing's core competitiveness in energy saving and the new energy automobile industry.
