As a result of the separation of koubei.com from China Yahoo, about 100 employees of koubei.com in Beijing may choose to resign from the company.

According to a representative from China Yahoo, as a result of the merger of koubei.com with Taobao.com, more than 100 koubei.com employees in Beijing will be transferred to work in Taobao's Hangzhou headquarters, and some of them may choose to resign instead of relocating there. The person said that China Yahoo would compensate the employees who wanted to resign for this reason.

In addition, the top management of China Yahoo and koubei.com has also undergone some changes. Wang Shuai, the vice president of the Marketing Department of Alibaba, will work as general manager of China Yahoo and report to Zeng Ming, the chief of the general staff of Alibaba. Meanwhile, Jin Jianhang, the president of koubei.com, will go to assist with Jack Ma's work on Alibaba's Board, and Zhang Yu, the general manager of the Consumer Business Department of Taobao.com, will work as the general manager of koubei.com, reporting to Lu Zhaoxi, president of Taobao.com.

It is learned that after hiving-off koubei.com, China Yahoo will focus on search, information and email services.
