Following the case of Shanghai Panda Dairy Company, three more Chinese companies have been exposed by local media for producing melamine-contaminated dairy products.

The three companies are Shandong Zibi Lvsan'er Dairy Company, Liaoning Tieling Wuzhou Food Company, and Hebei Tangshan Leting County Kaida Cold Storage Plant.

It is learned that melamine has been identified on the products of the three, including products which SZLDCL made on April 25, 2009; Wuzhou brand popsicles made by LTWFC on April 9, 2009; and Banana Orchard popsicles made by HTLCKCSP on March 19, 2009.

It is reported that around the end of 2009, the Chinese health department issued a circular asking for a nationwide investigation to be conducted on the products of these said. All the companies in question claimed that the problem with their products was mainly due to the milk powder supplied to them as raw material.
