Chinese Diplomats And Overseas Chinese Help HIV/AIDS Orphans In Zimbabwe

Yuan Nansheng, China's ambassador to Zimbabwe, has delivered USD12,000 donated by Chinese diplomats and overseas Chinese in Zimbabwe to Harare's Dawn HIV/AIDS Care Center.
A representative from the center stated that the people of Zimbabwe people have major problems, especially HIV/AIDS patients and orphans, whose live are endangered.
The Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe launched an HIV/AIDS initiative in August this year. A part of the program is to encourage Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese in Zimbabwe to donate funds to support HIV/AIDS orphans in the Dawn HIV/AIDS Care Center. Yuan said that the initiative is also part of the fulfillment of the spirit of Sino-Africa Beijing Summit and the social responsibilities of Chinese enterprises in foreign countries.
It has been learned that seven Chinese companies have supplied food and clothes to a dozen charity programs in Zimbabwe, and Chinese living in Zimbabwe have also adopted more than 200 orphans at the Dawn HIV/AIDS Care Center.

Its good 12,000 was donated although I am sure their operating cost are incredibly high.
China has been propping up the Zimbabwe government for far too long and these types of assistance packages are veiled actions to gain favour in the eyes of the gov't there. Nothing more and nothing less!!
