Japanese auto maker Toyota Motor Corp is currently working on new plans to improve its vehicle quality for China — the world's largest automobile market.

Japan's largest auto maker has already set up a special committee on global quality that aims to improve product quality and has released quality-improvement plans for the U.S. market.

Reportedly, Toyota China will announce similar plans this week. It may set up platforms to evaluate quality and add brake override systems to all new models.

On a separate issue, Toyota also aims to solve labor disputes in China, which have caused nine strikes in its Chinese plants since May 2010.

Toyota says it will strengthen its internal communications procedures and improve its relationship with its local workers in China.
