China Sets Up 13 National Sustainable Development Advanced Demonstration Zones

Based on a successful experiment in launching sustainable development areas over the last 22 years, China has set up 13 national advanced sustainable development demonstration zones.

The 13 zones are Xicheng District, Beijing; Chengdu Jinniu District, Sichuan; Wuhan Jiang'an District, Hubei; Beibei District, Chongqing; Zixing, Hunan; Jiangyang, Jiangsu; Dafeng, Jiangsu; Rizhao, Shandong; Yantai Mouping District, Shandong; Zhaodong, Helongjiang; Zhengding County, Hebei; Huainan Maoji District, Anhui; and Changdao County, Shandong.

To date China has set up a total of 13 sutainable development advanced demonstration zones, 50 national sustainable development experimental areas and over 100 provincial sustainable development experimental areas.
